Project Manager is responsible for services business growth through delivery and execution of service solutions in compliance with customer specifications and contractual agreements, leading a cross functional team to ensure successful on time and on budget service projects completion, managing project scope and change, and reporting the current and future performance of all assigned projects.
Key responsibilities include daily engagement and teaming with customers, project team members, project operations, factories, and management to ensure customer satisfaction, excellence in delivery, overall project performance, and accurate forecasting and reporting for all assigned projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Represents Honeywell in all customer interactions in a professional manner that is consistent with Honeywell values.
  • Drive the Honeywell safety culture through demonstrated understanding, commitment and action supporting the organization’s safety and environmental requirements/regulations and ensure project engineers observe and operate both Honeywell and customer safe systems of work, complying with all legislation.
  • Manage assigned control systems service projects to appropriate Global Project Management (GPM) and ISO procedures to ensure scope is delivered on time, on budget and with high customer satisfaction.
  • Manage technicians, engineers, and other personnel involved with assigned service projects
  • Control projects within required performance criteria (cost, schedule, quality, customer satisfaction etc.)
  • Work and lead service sales pursuits where appropriate with sales and service to manage scope and promote and deliver project change orders as appropriate
  • Follow all internal Honeywell processes for reporting project progress and accurate revenue and margin forecasts to management. This includes monthly project reviews as appropriate on percent of complete (POC) service projects and ensure performance to forecast.
  • Be responsible for billing the customer as per the contract and to ensure that all payments are collected in a timely fashion
  • Be a fixer overcoming limitations and finding solutions to problems thinking out of the box, showing agility, sense of urgency and resilience

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to personnel assigned to work on project scope.
  • Personnel assigned to project scope in front-office and back-office.

Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements

  • Typically assigned to a country, may support projects outside country based on skills & expertise. Travel is required to meet customers and project team members.
  • Travelling to site within local country and North Africa countries

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree Engineering or equivalent, Electrical or electronic (PMP certification a plus)
  • 6 years of industry experience with process controls
  • 3 plus years of experience in Honeywell Distributed Control Systems
  • Experience leading and managing remote/virtual teams in a Multinational environment
  • 3-5 years technical management experience
  • 5 years plus PM experience
  • Experience with Project scheduling tools and experience using earned value progress tracking systems. MS Project / Primavera experience
  • Proven client scope and contract negotiations experience
  • Track record of business and industry success
